NG Radio, here again...

This is gorillazrock again (also known as DJ Orange).

I just want to let you know that this will be posted with your "forever gamer" in episode 9...

I know that the 9th episode is a long time away, but i will defidently be mentioning you, and this song. I've been pretty much shelling out your name as much as i can.

I listened to the original song, and i have to say that your's is actually a better mix. I prefer the effect you used in place of the vocals.

By the way, i mentioned you in the "Audiosurf Club" If you don't know what audiosurf is, it's basically a music/puzzle game that takes your music, and turns it into basically a DDR/ Puyo Pop hybrid

All the other crap aside... this is one of my favorite songs. It just seems to hit a spot in me for some reason. Maybe it's because i love Half life, maybe it's cause i love Euro music. Maybe it's just that little effect. Whatever it is, this is my favorite song on newgrounds now, and i go through at least 20 songs a week.

SkyMarshall responds:

Greetings once more, Mr. Orange! (Reservoir Dogs, much?) =)

Love to hear this is in the "9", thats just plain cool.
Long time away or not - Im not in a hurry :)

Liking this better than the original by 2 Brothers is a huge compliment, though. Most likely (with a few others by Haddaway, Dj Bobo and Mark Oh) the best euro-song from way back ever. So thats much appreciated man. Actually the vocal-synth replaced a friend of mine, Sabrina, who was supposed to sing. Maybe it wasnt such a bad thing after all.

So, thanks for the shout - and I'll be looking forward to the show.

I'd Like to use this in the NG Radio Podcast

I love this whole song. It reminds me a hell of Eiffel 65. Did you have any influence from "My Consle"? Anyway, i know that this will be one that stays on my "Hot List" for a long time...

As for putting your song in the podcast, the earliest i can get it in probably in about a month (Episode 9). Hopefully, this will give you a second wind after you get off the front page...

FYI, I WILL link to this page so you can get more traffic from my listeners.

SkyMarshall responds:

Thanks a lot :) As with the Eifel 65-comparison, my knowledge of them ends with "Blue". I looked up "My Console" now, though - and I see the reference :) And man do they ever rape their vocals with pitch-correction. Haha. If anything has influenced me btw, it is Apoptygma Berzerk (norwegian underground techno who made it big for a while) and Fairlight Children. (the offspring of Apop)

Anywho, YES - ofcourse I would love to be in your podcast. I'll check it out now and see what it is all about. Kind of new to the AP, so thanks for pointing me in that direction. And any "second wind" you can indirectly give me is much appreciated.

I'll be listening in to see what you come up with :)

This has been a personal favorite of mine, and was put in a "video game" episode.

I Personally have listened to this song at least 25 times, and i never get tired of it. It actually conveys that "Ritzy yet crime-Filled" feeling. I personally would have tried something different with it on the second half, but that's just me...

Your song was a very big change for my podcast, as i've never had a tribal/jungle song on there before. I had fairly good reception from it, but many people thought it should have had drums, or it should have been longer.

Overall, i thought it was good, and i look foward to HOPEFULLY increasing your traffic a little...

I decided that there wasn't enough metal in the mix, so i used yours (hope you don't mind). The only thing i would say is that there are some minor fluxuations in your voice. It's no big deal, but maybe some postwork could clear it up... Some artists don't believe in postwork, so it's your call.

Nessbeatsfox responds:

I plan on redoing this song to make it sound a lot better (fixing up the drums, rerecording the screaming, and fixing any other bugs), but it's not going to be for a little bit. Thanks for using my song. I heard the podcast, and it sounds good! You're welcome to use any of my others songs too if you're interested.

It's a fairly nice remix of the song, and i'm amazed that with most people knowing "Night at the Roxbury" that it hasn't been remixed more. Good job on keeping it calm. I also particularly liked what WOULD be the females voice, it sounded eerie, but calming...

Just thought i'd let you know. Also, i've heard that some people don't like the break in song around 1:50, but i think it's a welcome change from the sometimes monotonous songs that seem to be on here.

This was the first song played in Episode 5, and i'm happy to say that i've heard only good things about this song. Keep up the good work, and i love the vocals on this. It's EXTREMELY Hard to get techno/trance vocals down, but you nailed it.

This one will go on the 7th episode, since i've booked all the songs on my 6th.

This will make a great trance-like track, and i really like how it has some techno elements thrown in there as well. My only complaint is that it is a TAD long, and you start to lose interest after about 4 mins just because it IS a little too repetative. Then again, that's what trance is mostly supposed to be, so good job

I love that "firestorm lick" as people keep calling it. I really hated the screeches at the end, but the rest of the package is so appeling it's not a big deal.
